Zum achten Mal sind im Wiener Rathaus die Sportstars des Jahres gekürt worden.
ÖFB-Teamspielerin Verena Aschauer und der Beachvolleyball-Vizeweltmeister Alexander Horst werden als Wiens Sportler des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Bei den Mannschaften siegen die Vienna Capitals (Herren) und MGA Fivers (Damen). Behindertensportler des Jahres werden Brigitte Köck und Werner Kaiser (beide Para Dance Sport).
Für ihr Lebenswerk werden Emese Hunyady (Eisschnelllauf) und Peter Kleinmann (Volleyball) geehrt.
