Überraschender Rücktritt im ÖSV-Team

Überraschender Rücktritt bei den ÖSV-Ski-Damen: Carmen Thalmann gibt am Sonntag auf "Instagram" ihr Karriereende bekannt.

"Es ist Zeit, auf Wiedersehen zu sagen. Es war ein wunderschönes Kapitel in meinem Leben, das ich niemals vergessen werde. Aber seit ich ein kleines Kind war, habe ich mir geschworen, immer alles mit hundertprozentiger Hingabe zu machen. Das letzte Jahr war sehr hart und ich habe alles versucht, positiv zu bleiben, doch es geht nicht mehr. Ich habe die Freude verloren", schreibt die 28-jährige Kärntnerin.

Thalmann zog sich im November 2016 im Training einen Kreuzbandriss im linken Knie zu. In der abgelaufenen Comeback-Saison war ein elfter Platz in Ofterschwang das beste Ergebnis der Technik-Spezialistin.

Der größte Erfolg in Thalmanns Karriere war die Goldmedaille im Teambewerb bei der Heim-WM 2013 in Schladming.
